As with any couple, life has put us through the wringer on more than a few occasions. The one constant throughout all our struggles was our home. Even when our home included 70’s linoleum and cheap carpet a few shades past ugly, it was ours and we loved it. No matter what life throws at any of us, our homes should always be a sanctuary.
Bob and I have always thought of our marriage as a partnership. Each of us, a specially important member of a team. It makes sense that life would unfold the opportunity to become business partners. We've learned much from one another, just by overcoming challenges together. Over the years, we have considered the quality of our banter to be just as essential as the quality of our snacks. It's interesting, the events that help define you as a couple. For instance; after a lengthy exchange of raised vs cake doughnuts, we were at an impasse. We each believed, ourselves to be truly correct on the true genre of a glazed doughnut. From that day forward, when referring to our partnership, we have agreed to spell team with an “I.”
Ergo, Teim DréBob (TDB).
Another pivotal compromise was to change aspects of our house that didn't bother Bob, yet drove me crazy. Little by little, we added and upgraded. Together, we have remodeled every square foot of our house. Our house is not in a gated community or at the end of a long, private drive. Perhaps, our house will easily be overlooked as one drives by, but it has much of everything we need on the inside. We live in a good neighborhood, relatively close to a grocery store (crucial to a great snack inventory), and boasts plenty of indoor/outdoor space for the pups.
We believe that a house is more than its location and offers more than its curb-appeal. A house is a refuge for the family within. A home is a treasure worthy of an upgrade on any budget. We will consider the opportunity to work on any of your home projects with great esteem.
